The next step would be checking what solidedge needs the most in a machine. My first stop would be talking with that company, just like a call to see what are the best spec's they like for the box. Its been a few years since I did anything with CNC machines, but it always seemed these things had some type of special software running on them.

I think the current graphics card is some type of NVIDIA. I'm assuming I'm looking for a machine with 16-32 GB RAM, likely a Quad-Core processor minimum, and SSD with some type of 3rd Party Graphics Adapter. I can't give specific details of the machine as I do not have them with me right now but will update the post when I do have them. Not sure if the monitors will need to be updated but am open to recommendations for that as well. However, for the sake of when they do tell me to purchase what specs should I be looking for in a good to great machine for 3D rendering? I don't really game or do any 3D Modeling so I'm not sure what's good.

From what I could tell it doesn't appear to be slowing down the user any so I'm not sure it's a big issue yet. I guess the desktop is a few years old and they feel it will be time to replace it soon. I recently took over a position for a company that manufactures tablepads using a 3D software (SolidEdge) that then sends the image to a CNC Machine for cutting.
